The popular music group, The Black Dahlia Murder, is an American melodic death metal band formed in 2001 in Waterford, Michigan, United States of America 2001. The group’s name is derived from the 1947 unsolved death case of Elizabeth Short, then frequently mentioned as Black Dahlia. Trevor was the lead singer and frontman of this band.

The band consists of different lead vocalists, bassists Max Lavelle, Brian Eschbach, drummer Alan Cassidy, and guitarist Ryan Knight and Brandon Eills. In 2003, Black Dahlia Murder signed a contract with Metal Blade Records, and in the same year, they released their debut studio album, Unhallowed. This band released nine popular studio albums, of which the last eight have charted on the Billboard 200. On July 12, 2005, they released their second album Miasma, which ranked no.118 on the Billboard 200.

Then, on September 18, 2007, this band released their third album, Nocturnal, which peaked at No. 72 on Billboard.
